Atheist Alliance Convention at DragonCon in Atlanta, Georgia will resume in 2024

CANCELLATION POLICY: 24 Cancellation Policy

Canceling your reservation before the deadline will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after the deadline, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room to your credit card. Taxes and fees will be applied.

Credit Cards will be authorized after 6:00 pm the day before your arrival to guarantee your reservation.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide a valid Credit Card or Debit Card and proof of I.D.  We do not accept cash at check-in and guest must be 21 years old or older to check-in. Pre-paid and temporary cards are not permitted and will result in your reservation being canceled or resold.

Title: Mindfulness Meditation Challenge with Mark W. Gura
Description: Participants will be taught how to practice mindfulness meditate and will be challenged to meditate for one hour non-stop. Bring a seat cushion or yoga mat if you wish.

Title: Learning Street Epistemology
Description: Quick overview of Street Epistemology followed by a hands-on workshop where attendees will be able to practice the method in a live setting.

Description: Brief introduction to some of the different elements that make up a (contemporary pop) song eg, Structure, Melody, Harmony, Rhythm, tempo, themes, Lyrics, Rhyme schemes.

Richard Dawkins Award and David Silverman’s Presentation Fighting God  

Time/Location: Saturday, September 2, 2017, in the Hilton 204 – 207 room.

Description: Atheist Alliance of America and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Science and Reason announce David Silverman as the 2017 recipient of the Richard Dawkins Award. Silverman expounds on the methods and efficacy of Firebrand Atheism and how it must be used during the Trump Administration.

Atheist Alliance of America 25th Year Anniversary Celebration 2017


Description: Everyone welcome, please join us atheists, heathens and freethinkers alike for a secular party. The AAoA is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the efforts of the Atheist community. We value knowledge, understanding, empathy, passion and a desire for change and we champion unity.
